Saturday, September 14th was a jam packed day with activities for all ages. Alumni from Beloit College came back to their happy place and reminisced about memories they made years ago. To end the night, there was an ecstatically great football game and a groovy band led by Ron Watson, a political science professor.

To kick off the day, graduates of Beloit College came back together for a reunion and were part of a parade filled with people from many campus organizations. They went around the campus in rows with their year of graduation in front of them, truly a lovely spectacle to see. It was beautiful to see how much the college truly meant to them, how it shaped their lives for the better to the point that they came back to show how proud they were to be a Buccaneer. Later in the day, the alumni and current students  alike got together and had a cookout near the football field, where they played games of all sorts and created new memories.

At the end of the day the football team played a great game and gave it their all in the fight against Knox College. The game was like no other, filled with countless great moments changing the tide of the game, making the crowd filled with alumni and current students alike go ecstatic. In the end Beloit put their best foot forward, showing off their hard work and dedication, yet it was still not enough to put an end to the opposing college, resulting in a saddening loss for the students of Beloit. This is not the end for the college football team however, in fact it is only the beginning. The students of Beloit and the team agree that they are capable of greatness and will improve like no other, becoming a fiercely dominant team that others will fear.

To end the night, professor Ron Watson and his band put on a great set outside of the football stadium, giving people of all ages alike a great time to blow off some steam and relax. The band played a wide variety of music, ranging from “Californiacation” by Red Hot Chilli Peppers to “I Want It That Way” by The Backstreet Boys. At the beginning of the set, everyone seemed to just be relaxing and enjoying the night after watching the football game, seemingly not wanting to get up and be active. They enjoyed the band playing while eating snacks provided and talking with their peers. However, as the band kept playing and the songs got more and more up beat, an influx of people went up to dance resulting in the dance floor being swarmed. The vibes were immaculate and people were having the time of their lives enjoying each other’s company while listening to music they grew up on. In a way, the elderly felt like they were young again while the young felt like how teenagers back in the day must have felt.
