It’s Monday, November 6th, and it’s matchday for Tottenham Hotspur FC. Their new manager, Ange Postecoglou, has brought along a dream start for the team, and Tottenham’s new signings are proving to be very good investments. As the only undefeated team in the Premier League, a matchday like this should be easy. Unfortunately for Tottenham, it all goes horribly wrong, ending in a 4-1 loss with two red cards. But it’s just a bad day, right? Unfortunately, in their next game against Wolverhampton, Tottenham concede two late goals, resulting in a 2-1 loss. As if the loss wasn’t bad enough, two of Tottenham’s best players are injured, with reports saying they’ll be back in the new year. Could this mean the end of Tottenham’s fairy tale season? Ange Postecoglou doesn’t think so. He claims that one of their injured players, Micky Van de Ven, will come back stronger. In an interview with Sky Sports, Ange said that “[Micky’s] got good support in the building, and knowing Micky he’ll leave no stone unturned to make sure he comes back better and better.” Ange also acknowledged that the coming weeks will be tough and that Tottenham needed to do everything in its power to prevent injuries. At the start of the season, Tottenham were looking to break their curse and challenge for the Premier League title, but if this bad luck continues, Tottenham will lose the title race once again. Losing their star striker Harry Kane to Bayern Munich was bad enough, and if Tottenham don’t somehow manage to pick up the pieces, it’ll be more than likely that Manchester City will win the league again (and nobody wants that).
