The NFL is now over two thirds through the 2023-2024 season and there is a lot of parody. At the same time, a handful of teams have separated themselves as clear favorites. With that being said, let’s get into the top 10.

  1. The Kansas City Chiefs are the reigning Super Bowl champions and seem to always get hot at the right time. Their defense has been the best in the league at times this season. Patrick Mahomes is by far the best quarterback and Andy Reid is probably the best coach. Anything can happen once the playoffs start, but the rest of the AFC makes the Chiefs path to the Super Bowl so much easier.
  2. The Philadelphia Eagles are looking like they are in line to get the number one seed in the NFC and potentially finish with the best regular season record in the league. Jalen Hurts is playing exceptionally well as of late and the offense has stayed very healthy for the most part. The secondary has been exposed this season despite still having an elite front center. Defensive lineman Jalen Carter should win defensive rookie of the year wreaking havoc against opposing QBs all season.
  3. The San Francisco 49ers started off the season 5-0 then lost three games in a row without star receiver Deebo Samuel and left tackle Trent Williams. Losing safety Talanoa Hufanga to a season ending injury really hurts the back end of this defense. The trade for edge rusher Chase Young has worked out well so far on the opposite side of Nick Bosa. Quarterback Brock Purdy will be the key for this team to see how  far they can go in the playoffs.
  4. The Dallas Cowboys have been dominant against average and worse teams this season. They are sitting at 9-3 in second place in the NFC East behind the Eagles. They are coming off a shootout against the Seattle Seahawks on Thursday 41-35. Dak Prescott has thrown himself in the MVP conversation with his 23 TD and only 6 interceptions. Micah Parsons is a one man wrecking crew on the defensive side of the ball.
  5. The Baltimore Ravens are the biggest threat to the Chiefs in the AFC. Lamar Jackson  has returned to his MVP form and the defense is loaded with talent. Star tight end Mark Andrews suffered an ankle injury against the Cincinnati Bengals a couple weeks ago so they will miss his production big time. Coach John Harbaugh has long been one of the best in the NFL. It will be interesting to see how they play against top defenses down the stretch this season.
