By

Ella Walters

What’s going on with student government? Thanks for asking! Us at BSG want to keep you updated on what’s going on – Club news, Events, Statement of Culture, etc.

Meet and Greet with BSG! Wednesday from 6-7:30 in the Powerhouse

BSG is here to represent the students so we want everyone to feel empowered to talk with us, give ideas for the school, and understand what it is we do. Come by (you’ll likely be there for dinner) and say hi! We’ll have cupcakes!

Student Statement of Culture – form due Friday the 6th

What?: The statement outlines the student culture of Beloit College, its beliefs, behaviors, and values, and we believe it should be written by students for students and for that we are looking for students who want to help write it.

How can I get involved?: There is a google form that you can respond to saying yes, no, or maybe to being involved – then it asks what elements of student culture you are involved in. And then topics you are interested in: Accessibility, Community & Identity, Environment & Sustainability, Health & Safety.

When?: The form is due Friday 3/06/26 and then we will start meeting with those involved after break. A town hall will happen early April for the drafted document so the wider student body can give their feedback and then we will have some voting and publish it!

MARCH 8, 2026 – Club and Org budgets are due! The Budget Deliberation Committee – which is a committee of students that help allocate our overall student budget to clubs and orgs, will begin and we need your club budget for next year.
