If you could describe their personality in 3 words what would they be?: Friendly, princess, spoiled

Favorite fun or silly story?: “When she was a kitten she would climb my tapestries. That was pretty silly. But I think that’s it, she’s very mild-mannered.”

What’s your favorite part of having a cat on campus?: “Everything? She’s so cute and like just seeing her makes my entire day better every time… and also, routine, it gets me out of bed [since] I have responsibility for something else so it definitely helps my mental health a lot.”

Ava Parr‘25:

Cat name: Ashes

If you could describe their personality in 3 words what would they be?: Loud, hungry, adorable

Favorite fun or silly story?: “The other night actually, I got this giant bag of cat food from Target.. and I just had it sitting at the end of the bed, unsuspecting me, and then it’s the middle of the night and I hear this scratching noise and I’m like ‘what is going on?’ and I turn on the light and the bag has a giant hole in it and he’s just munching along.”

What’s your favorite part of having a cat on campus?: “It’s nice to have a little friend to come home to at the end of the day, if I’m in a class and I’m like ‘man that sucks’ I can come back and he’s always waiting for me.”

Ashes Interview: (he was meowing the entire Ava interview)

How does it feel to be a beloit college cat?: *sniffing noises* a single deep meow

If you could describe their personality in 3 words what would they be?: Silly, playful, friendly

Favorite fun or silly story?: “One time when she was a baby, my mom had a flamingo pen that she uses and she picked up the flamingo pen and she was like using it as a toy.”

What’s your favorite part of having a cat on campus?: “I just think it’s so nice to have someone to return to at home. Cause it’s just like, things are hard.. and then I come home and she’s always there and she’s like ‘hello!’”

Amanda Langford‘24:

If you could describe their personality in 3 words what would they be?: Talkative, Shy, Playful

Favorite fun or silly story?: “When I got her at the humane society in Janesville I was looking at older kittens with short fur. I was looking at an older short-haired tabby with the name of a crystal. She was getting fixed that day but they told me I could look at other cats. I looked at a kitten with long fur and she jumped up right on my shoulder in the playroom and the lady said she was like a parrot so now she’s like a parrot to me!”

What’s your favorite part of having a cat on campus?: “It definitely gives me structure to my day because she is basically my alarm clock. Just having something to come back to at the end of the day to get me out of my shell.”

If you could describe their personality in 3 words what would they be?: Intelligent, anthropomorphic(like she really wants to be a human), and an unknown third word

Favorite fun or silly story?: “Sometimes she goes into a frenzy at night and jumps all over the furniture. Also when I realized she could open doors and cabinets.”

What’s your favorite part of having a cat on campus?: “Always having someone to come home to when you are having a bad day. Also the offerings from other people such as cat toys and chicken from culvers!”

If you could describe their personality in 3 words what would they be?: Stinky, grandma, gremlin

Favorite fun or silly story?: Once Basil took a shit underneath my bed-Lili

What’s your favorite part of having a cat on campus?: “She helps with my mental health!”

How does it feel to be a beloit college cat?: *Silence*

Any other things you want our readers to know? “I love eating all of my roommates’ food when they aren’t looking, it gives me a rush”

Paige Lancaster‘26:

Cat name: Ozzy

If you could describe their personality in 3 words what would they be?: Feisty, chaotic, lovable 

Favorite fun or silly story?: “Usually in the evening time I’m getting ready for bed or I’m reading in bed and I’ll kick my legs up under and he loves to like fully bear grab onto my legs, and he doesn’t bite me or anything but just like hugs my legs and he just will stay there until I kick him off a little bit, and that’s one of my favorite things that he does. And then he also loves to sprint out of the door. The stairs are his favorite thing for some reason so I get my steps in cause he’s quick!”

What’s your favorite part of having a cat on campus?: “It really just gives me something to look forward to when I come home, like even if he’s attacking me and biting me or meowing at me, at the end of the day he’s a little lovebug.
