Speaking of the Involvment Fair

It is almost universally agreed that the involvement fair happened this last Wednesday, September 18, in Chapin Quad. (Un)sanctioned by ResLife, clubs emerged and decorated interestingly speckled white plastic tables sitting in the sun. Many student-civilians seemed to have been granted enough academic clemency to attend. Names were exchanged between future (friends? foes?), school emails inscribed between thin printed lines and shut into tomes, and indeed, this involvement was considered fair.

Although language can only capture the shape of the vessel when it is actually the emptiness that counts, in the spirit of journalism, here are some textual snapshots from that purported date, time, and place:

rock boot

deep time given form

now soars through air, freshman best

rock descends, cheers rise

involvement fair

breezeless breathless day

people moving, people talking

stirring up currents

club offerings

look! it’s minnie mouse

a birdsnest hole in her head

welcoming spectre
