Our women’s volleyball team finished out their season this past Saturday, with the last game of the season played against the Lady Blues of Illinois College. They lost in three sets, with the third set having the closest score at 20-25. However, their overall record this year was an improvement on last year, which gives hope for the future of the team. Hanna Fasillis says, “This season was definitely better than last season, I’m very proud of how everyone stepped up, especially the freshmen”.

For the seniors on the team, this last game was bittersweet. Camille Ledoux‘25 says that she’s happy with the team and the culture they’ve created. Reflecting on her time in volleyball, Camille says that “every single game day is special,” and that home games, in particular, have an energy to them. Senior night, which happened November 1, was also a special moment for the four seniors who played their last season. Camille says one of her favorite moments from this past season was when her family came in for Senior Night, and her mom sang the Canadian National Anthem for her. “The team makes the greatest memories,” she says, “and just being able to play together every year is [something] I’ll always remember.”

Looking to the future, Hanna states they want to “Just keep growing as a team, making the team feel more like a family every year, and hopefully get more wins”. Camille says the team “has got this” and that she’ll be watching the games from wherever she is. The future of Beloit College volleyball looks bright, and we will be following it to see what they’re capable of.
