Men’s lacrosse hosted Lake Forest on Saturday for their second conference game of the season. Lake Forest took an early lead, but nearing the end of the first quarter, junior Liam Walker scored his first goal of the game, assisted by sophomore Ryder Story.

In the second, the Foresters’ offense stayed strong, but a crucial mistake by their goalkeeper allowed Rilan Larmore to find the net. He was able to score again before halftime, and the teams left the field with Lake Forest ahead 12-3.

During the second half, the Buccaneers’ defense improved, and offense took advantage of their chances. The defense only allowed three goals in the third quarter, and added another point from Ethan Scutchfield early on.

Liam Walker scored again in the fourth, the first goal of the quarter, and was followed by the Foresters’ last goal of the game. Seniors Jordan Rice and Will Palmer finished the game strong with a goal each in the last four minutes of the game.

Eric Seo, Beloit’s starting goalkeeper, faced an astounding sixty shots Saturday afternoon. He allowed sixteen goals and made twenty-three saves. Sophomore Christian Moore played the last quarter for the Buccaneers, making one save.

The team plays away on Wednesday, March 26th versus Lawrence University at 7 p.m.
