It was a rough week for the Beloit College Football in their game against Grinnell, losing 24-0. The game saw many 3 and out’s, with the Bucs finding it hard to get any offensive rhythm going. The first quarter saw Grinnell get two sacks and score the first touchdown of the game.
In the second quarter, quarterback Conner Richards’27 threw a 25-yard pass to spark light into a dying offense, but Grinnell ultimately forced the punt on the Bucs. As per usual, Beloit’s defense played very well, including a few players getting crucial tackles and tackles-for-losses.
In the third quarter, Beloit prevented a touchdown and forced Grinnell to settle for a field goal, but a costly turnover prevented Beloit from getting a touchdown. The Bucs had a few big plays, but it was all for nought, with Grinnell scoring another touchdown in the fourth quarter to seal the win.
The Bucs play their first home game against Knox College on Saturday, September 20th.
