From Sept. 29 to Oct. 17, State Street will be closed due to repairs. The city states that City Hall will still be accessible via Shirland Avenue during this period. This follows a period of resurfacing the road, which has been ongoing since Aug. 18. However, unlike the resurfacing, the more thorough repairs will leave the street completely closed off for over two weeks. The city has promised to consider alternate routes for the Family Dollar and McDonald’s. If you’re a fan of Bushell & Peck’s — or just don’t want to get caught in diverted traffic — beware!
