Beloit Student Government (BSG) held a question-centric debate-style town hall on Friday, Nov. 7, preceding the voting period for students to submit their votes for Student Government representatives. BSG’s primary function is to act as a liaison between administration and students– such a role demands a sense of responsibility and competence from elected representatives.
Harshwardhan Singh Chouhan’28 was elected Communications Director, officially replacing Snigdha Dasoondi’28 in the role.
Noor ul Ain’27 won the vote for Funding Board Director, taking Helmi Kawsar’27’s place.
The winner of the vote for Vice President was Ella Walters’28, filling the role previously filled by Shobhita Bharadwaj’27.
And finally, replacing the ever-present Frank Sharp Hooton’26 for the role of BSG President is Journey Beier’28. Beier ran on a platform of community engagement and requiring ICE response training for students and faculty.
