Women’s Basketball played their last home game and senior night of the 2025-2026 season on Feb. 18 against the Lawrence University Vikings. Hailey Johnson’26 and Aina Mallorqui’26 were recognized before the game for their careers at Beloit.

The first quarter was tough for Beloit on the defensive end, with the Vikings outscoring the Bucs 16-4. During the second quarter, the Bucs were able to surge back, scoring 17 points on a 6-0 run by Brooke Foster‘29.

Heading into the third, the Buccaneers maintained their energy, although they were unable to outscore the Vikings for a second straight period. They continued that same persistence into the fourth, with their highest scoring quarter of the game with 18 points.

Johnson secured the team defensively, contributing eight points, as well as two blocks and two steals. Bailey Darneal’27 also made 8 rebounds and 7 points through almost 30 minutes of play. Mallorqui’26 played 33 minutes of gametime, the most minutes by one player during the game.

The bench proved crucial for helping the Bucs stay in the game, scoring just over half of the points. The Bucs finished their 2025-2026 season 6-19, and eighth in the conference.

Shortly after, the men’s team held their senior night, where they honored seniors Dae’Quan Davis’26, Thomas Glenn’26, Lathan Lewis’26 and their contributions to the team.

The first half saw good rhythm from the Bucs, with Dae’Quan Davis claiming the first 3 pointer and an early lead. Davis would prove to be an effective scorer for the team, finishing the game with a team-high 13 points. Sophomore Ebrahim JarJue’28 was a force to be reckoned with, getting five rebounds and seven points.

The Bucs saw a shift in momentum in the second half with a nine point surge, with most of the points coming from the bench, who also proved to be a crucial spot for Beloit.

With the conclusion of their season at Ripon on Saturday, Beloit Men’s Basketball finished the year with a record of 5-19, going 0-15 in conference.
