Spring Day 2026 was full of fun activities, like inflatable rock climbing, mechanical bull riding, and the aforementioned photo booth.
The mechanical bull was the premier attraction for a lot of students, each competing to see who could stay on the longest. Eyewitness testimony says Richard McGregory’27 lasted a staggering 23 seconds on the bull. There was also a large inflatable rock wall that brought out people’s competitive nature, with most students trying to see who could make it to the top the fastest. Allegedly, the right side of the wall was harder than the left.
A variety of clubs set up on the Aldrich Field, like geology club or the outdoor environmental club (OEC), with the latter setting up games guessing how much water AI images use.
Greek life was out and about too, putting on activities to raise funds for their respective charities. Kappa Delta raised money for Prevent Child Abuse America by painting a KD, where people dumped dyed water on sisters. The siblings of Theta Pi Gamma did a yard sale for Community Action Coalition, a charity focused on ending poverty in Wisconsin.
Fraternity Tau Kappa Epsilon sold hot dogs, water buckets, and the opportunity to pie a brother for St. Jude. The brothers of Sigma Chi offered their annual “Pie a Sig” event, where people donated to pie a brother in the face. Phi Kappa Psi took their fundraising to the extreme, raising over $500 for the Hunter’s Fund, and shaving the beard formerly belonging to former president Ryan Novak’26, eliminating years of beard growth.
When they weren’t participating in the various activities, many students could be seen playing sand volleyball or throwing a football around on Aldrich field. There was something for everyone, marking the end of a truly great Spring Day.
