On Sept. 25, Beloit College sent out an email to all students containing the annual Clery Act 2026 Annual Security Report, Fire Safety Report, and Campus Hazing Transparency Report. This report contains all reported security incidents, as well as statistics about fire safety (i.e. alarms, reported fires, fire damage, etc.) and all reported hazing incidents that occurred on campus in 2025. Any reports from this school year are not included.
In the 2025 school year, there was one reported case of on-campus rape, three drug-related arrests on college property, two weapons possession arrests, eight on-campus drug-related referrals*, eight on-campus liquor-related referrals, two reported cases of dating violence, and one reported case of stalking. Several of these statistics- particularly drug and liquor-related referrals- have significantly decreased from 2023 and 2024 statistics, according to the report.
As far as fires go, there was one fire in 2025, in Emerson Hall. The listed cause was cooking, and there was $0 listed in the value of fire-related property damage.
Additionally, new Overdose Aid Kits (OAKs) were added to campus this year. These boxes contain naloxone (brand name Narcan) to aid with potential overdoses and are not monitored by security “to promote any community member to take the free naloxone or overdose informational materials inside”. There are three OAKs on campus, which can be found in the Pearsons basement, the first floor of Porter Hall, and in the Powerhouse outside of the Health and Wellness Center.
*A referral is defined in the 2026 Report as an instance wherein “the Adjudicator may refer the student(s) to another person or department within the College or select professionals, agencies or programs outside of the College.” According to the report, a “student may be referred to a local or student-selected physician, an Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse (AODA) program, or a mental health professional or other program or professional as part of the disciplinary sanction and/or as a condition of remaining on or returning to campus.”
