Beloit College Men’s Lacrosse took on the Alma Scots on Saturday, Feb. 28 in their second game of the season, earning their second win.

The Scots started out strong, scoring the first goal of the game, and holding the Bucs off for seven more minutes before Rilan Lamore’28 tied the score. Both teams continued battling through the first, with the Scots scoring with only a few minutes left in the period. With less than a minute left in the first, Ryder Story’27 was able to score, but Alma was able to get another before the buzzer sounded.

In the second quarter, John Imbriale’28 was able to find the back of the net, quickly followed by another goal from Liam Walker’26. Heading into halftime, the 4-3 score was hopeful for the Buccaneers, even as snow began to fall on the field.

In the third, Walker continued to score, giving the Bucs a healthy margin. Lamore, Imbriale, and Story also contributed goals in the second half, bringing the Bucs away for a 10-3 win. The Bucs’ dominance in the ground ball battle (38-28) was a major supporting factor in their win.

Men’s lacrosse plays at Strong Stadium next on March 18 at 7 p.m.
